oh, forgive me!

i am doing it.

i am really doing it.

this one's so damn great, i want to show you all how i want to be the fourth son! the oomp!

Four Friends at a Party

Four friends, who hadn't seen each other in 30 years, reunited at a party. After several drinks, one of the men had to use the rest room. Those who remained talked about their kids.

The first guy said, "My son is my pride and joy. He started working at a successful company at the bottom of the barrel. He studied Economics and Business Administration and soon began to climb the corporate ladder and now he's the president of the company. He became so rich that he gave
his best friend a top of the line Mercedes for his birthday."

The second guy said, "Darn, that's terrific! My son is also my pride and joy. He started working for a big airline, then went to flight school to become a pilot. Eventually he became a partner in the company, where he owns the majority of its assets. He's so rich that he gave his best friend a brand new jet for his birthday."

The third man said: "Well, that's terrific! My son studied in the best universities and became an engineer. Then he started his own construction company and is now a multimillionaire. He also gave away something very nice and expensive to his best friend for his birthday: A 30,000 square foot mansion."

The three friends congratulated each other just as the fourth returned from the restroom and asked:
"What are all the congratulations for?" One of the three said: "We were talking about the pride we feel for the successes of our sons. ...What about your son?"

The fourth man replied: "My son is gay and makes a living dancing as a stripper at a nightclub."

The three friends said: "What a shame...what a disappointment."

The fourth man replied: "No, I'm not ashamed. He's my son and I love him. And he hasn't done too bad either. His birthday was two weeks ago, and he received a beautiful 30,000 square foot mansion, a brand new jet and a top of the line Mercedes from his three boyfriends."

the tropical depression of sophie-kinsella-meets-emily-rose

tropical depression milenio brought me down to my knees. literally.

i was in the middle of my sing-song solitary sojourn in my room that pathetically fateful afternoon when a felt a hush of wind brush over my ears (yeah, i was reading THE kinsella book); i did not mind it.

then my room suddenly twitched (no pun intended there).

to my surprise, the neighbors' roofs were also trembling, my room became ghostly-cold all at once (no pun intended again), and yeah, even my good-old-so-much-loved pillows gave me the shivers when i hugged them tight... oh, gosh, i am so afraid of ghosts...

suddenly, my mother jolted my door. "hayan na ang bagyo!"

oh, so this was the tropical depression milenio! huh! i thought some ghostly apparation ala exorcism of emily rose was happening. huh! and again, huh!

the rain poured. the winds howled. everything went berserk. well, everyone went berserk!

the full five hours of the afternoon past by busily but uninterestingly. i was hanging around with my friends, cursing the powerless (electrically, that is) days ahead, and singing Apo songs to soothe our worried minds.

at about 6pm, we headed back home, and whoah! surprise, surprise surprise! water was everywhere! we were wondering why had it happened so fast (i mean the flood) when there was actually tolerable amount of rainfall that afternoon.

my father told me it was the damn dam around 20km from our place that had burst open, freeing every drop of water it held.

for 3 agonizing hours, each one of us gave a hand to lift everything, every single thing from the first floor to the next. we needed to save everything, as if not, we would have to be paddling our way to the next refugee center.

thank God, everyone (and everything) was safe.

really, this tropical depression was really nasty!!! i don't want you back!!! noh noh noh!!!
